Genre: New Adult/Teen Fiction
Parker Jennings moved to Los Angeles with only one goal: fulfilling his dream of becoming a director. When he finds his junior year of college unexpectedly derailed, Parker takes an internship at a talent agency, hoping to get his foot in the door with the industry’s elite. It isn’t until he meets Sophie Winters, once the biggest up-and-coming star in Hollywood, that he realizes how little he knows about the world he’s trying to enter. The two need each other more than they know, but is what they have real, or an illusion created by the city of make believe?
Normally, when I read books, I find myself growing impatient and checking how many pages are left in a certain chapter but with this book, I didn’t feel that at all. I was fully engaged with the plot as well as its witty tone. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style, and I only hope to find more time to read more of it in the future.
I can’t think of anything to say against it.
Hm. That’s all, then. Go read this book! It’ll speak more than I ever could. This is actually the first book review I’ve done in a while. I’ll try to do more of these soon, I promise. Anyways, thanks for reading and have a lovely day/night. ^^
